Floating Museum
My aim was to create a building where it doesn’t restrict the pedestrian flow in the site while protecting the Museum from the risks of flooding. The main exhibition areas are lightweight structured raised from the ground and is supported by steel columns; in contrast the two buildings are heavyweight structured using limestone façade to fit in the existing context of the site. I wanted the building to become a local landmark that will glow up at night to give light and life to the floating harbour.
