Once again, BSc Architecture students continued to explore the key foundations of people, place and environment.

Year 1 students were introduced to the principles, through a series of established design projects set in Sheffield and Manchester – Into the Wild, Makers and Future Dwelling.

Year 2 students explored the potential of inclusive public space through a live research project for the Combined Mayoral Office of South Yorkshire for the Transport Interchange in Sheffield. Following this, the Intergenerational Learning Centre, explored urban communities in Rotterdam and Manchester.

Year 3 students developed proposals for projects that speculated on environmental education, firstly in the Longshaw Seedbank, set in the Peak District and secondly for the Museum of Water in Rotterdam and Manchester imagined as a part of the UNESCO Water museums global network.
